It's My Creative Disaster...and I'll Love it if I Want

A Poem to the Cake I Just Made
You started out a gooey mess
And then baked inside the oven
I thought you would turn out alright
I guess I had this comin'

I dyed you green,
a sight to see
And then I added frosting.

You seemed ok
I worked away
Until your buttercream started softening.

It's summertime, a time of sun
And frosting really likes to run...
Away from cake
No time it takes.
A hot apartment isn't fun.

In the end
Some time I did spend
Adding green and yellow
To my sad cake fellow.
But he just wouldn't mend...

So I drew designs
And scribbled more
Nothing looked as it had before
Except for when I was four.

And the end result
I have no doubt
Will leave many with a little pout.
Wondering f they should
Stick out their necks
And send these pictures straight to Cake Wrecks...

Memory Lane & Pilgrims

Summer in Plymouth is my favorite time of year. From the sunsets to the seafood, nothing beats the small town feel of summer.

Started out at half price sushi night at New Tokyo with Jess & B (p.s. how cool is it that her 9 year old daughter loves sushi??)

Being impulsive can lead to fun discoveries, and a last minute turn away from my normal one-exit highway drive home ended with me catching a beautiful sunset at Plymouth Beach and dipping my feet in the ocean (while listening to Katy Perry's song about California Gurlss. Yep, so summery!).

(that one is for Lauren...remember your fave painting from soph. year?)

I was in such a good mood, I went home and tried to rally the fam to walk downtown to the waterfront.

Ended up walking by myself, but that's ok :)

Can you name these landmarks/locations?
Fisherman guy in a boat:

A famous boat:
Pink and purple sunset over Plymouth Bay:
And, last, a dark picture of a 'famous' landmark in Plymouth (sorry to ruin the huge surprise for anyone who hasn't seen it yet...)

What's your favorite summer spot? Tell me about it in the comments!
